The Wine

Narcisi Winery

La Casa Narcisi Winery currently produces 28 different varieties of fabulous wines from an array of dry reds all the way to a mouth-watering selection of sweet fruit wines.

The Winery opened for business on November 2001.  It is rooted on a 10-acre parcel of land in the Deer Creek Valley.  Edged by a clear, fresh water trout stream, the grounds are nestled among the towering trees and rolling hills of beautiful western Pennsylvania.

The building is a 2-story, 11,000-square foot winemaking facility.  Designed by owners Dennis and Randy Narcisi, the building and finish reflect a modern, yet tradition Italian feel.  Décor inside selected by Sara Narcisi offers the creative and finishing touch.

The Tasting Room houses a specially designed, 30-foot copper-top bar made of crotch wood cherry, very complimenting for an afternoon of wine sampling with good company.
Leading towards the mezzanine is a deep red oak staircase that invites you upstairs to a comfortable sitting area.  Two viewing windows provide a peak of the action into the operation.  Out the back door is a deck furnished with picnic tables that overlooks the woods leading to the stream.

The climate-controlled Wine Cellar is above ground and contains the latest in modern winemaking equipment originating from Italy.  This is where La Casa Narcisi crushes, presses, ferments, ages, and bottles all of its wines. Current tank capacity is about 20,000 gallons of wine. This is equal to about 100,000 bottles or 8,000 cases of wine per year.

The vineyard was first planted in 2001.  Currently, the vineyard consists of Frontenac and Vidal vines.  Plans are to grow a few more acres over the next couple of years.
The remaining grapes are grown at three select vineyards in the Erie, Pennsylvania region.  During the fall harvest, immediately following the grape picking, the grapes are transported to the La Casa Narcisi Winery.

The grapes are crushed, and then after a few days of fermenting, they are pressed. From that point, they go through various stages of aging and racking until developing into the finished product.  Bottling and labeling complete the process.

With a history of over four generations of winemaking, La Casa Narcisi Winery has perfected its techniques.  The final product is a superior quality wine!  Sample it yourself at the 3rd Annual Sip and Savor and Savor the Moment for a Cure!  Purchase your tickets today!
